Creating NAP(Network Access Point) on SmartMedia

Allocating a SIP Network Access Point (NAP)

You must now allocate a SIP NAP for your system. This is very similar to the ISDN NAP created in the previous step.

To create a new NAP:

1- Click NAP in the navigation panel

2- Click Create New NAP

3- Create the new NAP:

  • Enter a name for the NAP
  • Click Create

4- Verify that the NAP was successfully created message appears

5- Associate a SIP service access point with the new NAP:

  • Select a SIP SAP from the service access points list
  • Click the "<<" button to associate it with the NAP

  • Name
  • Filtering Params:
    • Filter by destination address
    • Filter by local port
    • Local port
  • Registration Params:
    • Register to proxy
    • Address to register
  • Availability Detection Params:
    • Poll remote proxy
  • Advanced Params:
    • Map any response to available status
    • 183 triggers call process
  • Authentication Params:
    • Realm
    • User
    • Password
