]]> <![CDATA[SmartLink M-ATA 3CX Fax Configuration]]> This reference guide shows how a SmartLink M-ATA can integrated in a 3CX IPPBX environment. Using a SmartLink M-ATA, regular analogue Fax machines can be still used, even with an IP based PBX.

 

  1. Make sure the M-ATA is running the latest software found at:
    http://www.patton.com/support/upgrades/index.asp?um=M-ATA

 

 

2. Configure Sip Registrar and Domain. If Sip port is not configured, port 5060 is going to be used.  Now scroll to the bottom of the page and save the settings once completed.

 

 

3. For T.38 fax just make sure that “FAX without T.38(Use G.711 fax)” is unselected.  Now scroll to the bottom of the page and save the settings once completed.

 

 

4. Configure Phone 1 parameters (phone number, caller ID name, user name  and password).  Now scroll to the bottom of the page and save the settings once completed.

 

 

5. Restart the M-ATA to apply the config changes

 

6. On 3CX, just a regular extension is required to be configured

 

]]> <![CDATA[Access to M-ATA Download mode ]]> During a software upgrade, the Patton M-ATA may become unresponsive if you cycle the power or refresh the browser.  If this happens, you can access the M-ATA Download mode by going to the following address:

http://<IP of M-ATA>/download.htm

 

Example:

If the IP Address of your M-ATA is 192.168.1.1, you would enter:

http://192.168.1.1/download.htm

 

]]> <![CDATA[Configure a Patton M-ATA with Avaya IP Office Platform 9.1]]> Please follow these instructions to setup your Patton M-ATA as a SIP Extension within the Avaya IP Office Platform 9.1.

 

A.  Either enable Auto-Create Extn/User or otherwise manually add SIP extensions and users to the IP Office configuration.

1. Browse to the IP address of the Micro ATA.

2. Login and select SIP.

3. Enter the values to match the settings of the IP Office LAN on which the SIP Registrar is enabled. Click Save.

4. Select CODECS.

5. Set the codecs to match those set for the IP Office SIP extension. Click Save CODEC Configuration.

6. Select Phone 1.

7. Enter the values to match the IP Office SIP extension and user settings. Click Save.

B.  If installed using extension and user auto-creation, check the settings of the IP Office SIP extension and user created by the SIP devices registration.

C.  Make test calls from and to the SIP device.

D.  If not installing any further SIP devices, Disable Auto-Create Extn/User if it is enabled.
