How do I reset my Virata IPLink router (32x1, 3086, 26XX and 215x series)?

Procedure:

1. Reboot router while holding the spacebar; make sure you are connected using the console port. (this will start unit in Boot OS)
2. Once you see the “]” prompt and see the cursor moving across the screen you can stop holding down the spacebar.
3. At the “]” prompt, type: configflash flashfs emergency
4. At the “]” prompt, type: reset (wait for the unit to reboot)
5. At the IP address> prompt, type: sysconfig defaults
6. Reboot router while holding the spacebar. (this will start unit in Boot OS)
7. Once you see the “]” prompt and see the cursor moving across the screen you can stop holding down the spacebar.
8. At the “]” prompt, type: configflash flashfs auto
9. At the “]” prompt, type: reset
10. Wait for the unit to reboot
