Configuration Description The command sequence below enables SmartNode to operate as a DHCP client by pointing a SmartNode IP-interface to a DHCP server on the directly connected LAN. As a DHCP client, upon power-up the SmartNode can automatically retreive an IP address, default gateway address, and DNS server address from the specified DHCP server.NOTE: Before you point a SmartNode IP-Interface [IF-NAME] to a DHCP server, you must ensure the interface is bound to an Ethernet port.
