SNMP implementation on Trinity
Posted by Danny Staub on 21 May 2025 09:36 AM

Trinity only sends trap messages when an alarm of the internal alarm system is triggered (and will then stay silent about this particular alarm until the alarm is manually or automatically cleared). The following alarms are implemented:

  • CPU over a specific threshold
  • Ethernet cable is connected or loses connection
  • Hardware sensor failure
  • SIP overload
  • SIP registration failure
  • CPU Temperature over threshold (~75°C)

The traps will always be sent with the same OID (1.3.6.1.4.1.1768.18.10) and contain a string describing the alarm that was raised. This is a part of Pattons custom enterprise subtree (1.3.6.1.4.1.1768).
